This lengthy stole, or dupatta, possesses not only beauty but also a uniqueness that can only be achieved by handcrafting. In the Surendranagar district of Gujarat, a close-knit community of weavers has played a pivotal role in preserving the exquisite Tangaliya weave for over 700 years. What sets this weave apart is the creation of bead-like designs meticulously crafted during the weaving process. Referred to as "Daana work," these beads form motifs inspired by nature.
